Lisa Weisshar

JAM president of UCLA, now studying in Neve for 6 months. Lisa began her involvement with JAM on a JAM AIPAC/NY trip.

 

Claire Danielson

Claire is graduating UC Santa Barbara this year with a major in musical theater. She is a professional opera singer who has performed in numerous operas, and studied voice in Germany.
Claire will be studying through JWSA at Neve Yerushalyim for one year.

 

Rachel Pollack

Rachel Pollack just graduated from UC Berkely with a major in Public Health and African American Studies. Rachel will be studying through JWSA at Mayanot     for  3-6 months

 

Preeya Noblis

Preeya is an undergraduate at UCLA. A piercing mind, Preeya is originally from India, she weaves her Indian and Jewish heritage together and is a political science major

 

Bree Marlin

Bree graduated UCLA with a degree in history. Due to her  avid interest in the Holocaust, Bree has visited every concentration camp, and is going to graduate school in Holocaust studies.  She is now studying about Judaism at Neve Yerushalayim for the semester.

 

 

 

 

 

Thea Ivins

Thea graduated from San Diego State University. Hailing from the Northeast, she quickly acclimated and made her mark at San Diego State. Thea is now studying full time at Neve.

 

 

 

Sarah Covey

Sara Covey graduated from UC Santa Barbara. An avid volunteer in Jewish life on campus, Sara was the president of Hillel, and the Massa representative on her campus. A passionate leader, Sara won a Peri scholarship to Neve Yerushalayim, and is studying there now.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Faralyn Frumkin

Faralyn Frumkin graduated from USC with a major in fashion. She worked in finance for a number of years. A dodge ball player and triatholon competitor, Faralyn never had an opportunity to learn or experience her Judaism. After 4 years at her job, Faralyn decided to take a break and learn at Neve Yerushalayim.

 

 

 

 

Laurie Hoffinger

Laurie Hoffinger, is a brilliant, well traveled young woman,. She attended UC Berkely and the went to Boston where she graduated with a masters in psychology. She is now studying at Neve Yerushalayim full time.

 

 

 

 

 

Briana Begelfer

Born to a close knit Russian family, Briana is a bright, happy effervescent person.  A sophmore at UCLA, she has a passion to learn and grow Judaism and amass knowldege

 

 

 

Ari Gruys

Ari joined the JAM Israel trip in December of 2009. She became an active participant in the JAM programs on campus. This past summer JAM sent her to Neve  for two months. Upon graduation Ari returned to Neve to study for the year.
